10000 Songs

10000 Songs is a photography book by Jiao Yizhen, created between 2020 and 2025.

The book features street photographs, primarily taken in Beijing with a smartphone. Walking through everyday life, Jiao captures fleeting moments of the city and its ordinary rhythms, expressing observations, emotions, and inspiration through images.

Jiao Yizhen is also known as ‘Zhou Shijue’ (周士爵), a member of the Beijing hip-hop collective ‘Itsogoo’, and the host of the radio program ‘Underground Soundsystem’ (地下广播), where he shares music and culture.

10000 Songs represents another facet of his creative practice, exploring photography as a parallel form of expression.

2020年から2025年にかけて制作され、主に北京でスマートフォンを使って撮影されたストリートフォトを収録しています。

日常の街を歩きながら、移り変わる都市の風景や何気ない瞬間を切り取り、写真を通してインスピレーションや感情を静かに映し出しています。

焦亦真は、北京のヒップホップ・コレクティブ Itsogoo のメンバーであるラッパー／アーティスト 周士爵（Zhou Shijue） としても活動し、ラジオ番組 「Underground Soundsystem（地下广播）」 のホストとして音楽やカルチャーを紹介しています。

10000 Songs は、彼にとって写真という表現を通して生まれた、もうひとつの作品です。
