Dream Dolphin – The Roads

Shanghai based record label – EGRET’s first miniCD release, The Roads by Dream Dolphin 🐬.

Since the age of sixteen, Noriko (the core driving force behind Dream Dolphin) has been releasing boundless, deeply emotive music. To truly grasp her vision, we encourage you to dive into the massive body of work by D.D.

A huge thanks to Antigen (Ike) for inviting Dream Dolphin to perform in Shanghai with live instrumentation, choreography, and visuals. Having reached a wider audience following the release of the Gaia: Selected Ambient & Downtempo Works (1996-2003) compilation (on Music From Memory, co-compiled by Eiji), this event marked her first time returning to the stage after a long hiatus. The Roads miniCD was originally created as exclusive merch for this very show. Cover art was designed by Noriko’s long time collaborator and legendary graphic designer Taki Ono.

上海を拠点とするレコードレーベル EGRET による初のミニCDリリース、Dream Dolphin『The Roads』。

Dream Dolphinの中心人物であるNorikoは、16歳の頃から、深い感情と豊かな世界観を持つ音楽を生み出し続けています。その創作をより深く知るためにも、これまでに発表してきた数多くの作品にもぜひ触れてみてください。

Antigen（Ike）の招待により、Dream Dolphinは上海でバンド編成、ダンス、映像演出を取り入れたライブを開催しました。Eijiが共同コンパイルを手がけた Music From Memory のコンピレーション『Gaia: Selected Ambient & Downtempo Works (1996–2003)』のリリースをきっかけに新たな注目を集めた後、本公演はNorikoにとって久しぶりのステージ復帰となりました。『The Roads』 は、この上海公演にあわせて制作されたミニCDです。

ジャケットアートワークは、Norikoの長年のコラボレーターであり、グラフィックデザイナーの Taki Ono が手がけています。
