octodaddio is a singer-songwriter and producer whose presence is felt more than it is seen. Her work occupies the space between invitation and distance. It pulses with polarity and tension: intimacy held at arm’s length, bodies of sound that press close but never confess. This alter ego of Jade Che is not just an entity and a persona, but a necessary descent into the oceanic trenches of her own making. Her tentacles move through sounds and wrap around the ears like a current pulling towards unseen depths. To listen is to enter a private geography.

nEXtmAchinA feels like a gradual approach toward machine consciousness.

Originally self-released by Jade Che, the track immediately drew us in when we first heard it. Its distinct atmosphere and presence became the reason we wanted to help bring this release to a wider audience through Egret. In many ways, this also reflects the original intention behind the label — to continue discovering, documenting, and sharing sounds that deserve to be heard.

この楽曲はもともとJade Che自身によってセルフリリースされました。私たちは初めて耳にした瞬間、その独特な空気感と存在感に強く惹かれ、Egretからより多くの人へ届けたいと考えました。

それは同時に、Egretというレーベルが目指していることでもあります。まだ広く知られていない魅力的な音楽と出会い、それを記録し、より多くの人へ届けていくこと。その思いが、このリリースにも込められています。
